Harry Shaw coach trip to the Lake District.

Last weekend me, John & my parents went off to the Lake District on a Harry Shaw coach trip. I was a little worried at first being on a coach and all, but I actually really enjoyed myself (and the food haha.)

The first day we stopped off at the village of Cartmel which is the home of sticky toffee! Then an hour shopping in Kendal and then onto the hotel. Which as the coach driver said, was literally in the middle of nowhere! However this was great as it gave us plenty of time to explore and there were even sheep right outside the front door! We ventured into the woods as this little old man came along with us and he seemed to know where he was going, so off we went. There was this tunnel of branches which i loved as i felt like entering Alice in Wonderland, and at the end was the woods it felt like the perfect place for a mad hatters tea party! We returned to the hotel, got dressed up, went down for dinner and drinks, watched some entertainment and then waddled off to bed ready for an early start.

The second day we were up at 6:30, ate breakfast and got back on the coach at 9:30. From there we went to Ambleside had an hour shopping which is where i found a sweet shop which had pick and mix jelly belly's! HEAVEN! Then we went shopping in Grasmere where i found a Gingerbread shop and purchased a couple of things.
Next onto Bowness, we all got some chips and took a 40minute boat ride to Lakeside. Once we were off the boat, we got on a steam train and took a journey through Leven Valley. After the train journey we got back on the coach and began our journey home.

For £89 bed, dinner, breakfast & travel i think its an absolute bargain of a short trip and i would definitely consider another in the future.
Here is a little photo diary of a few photos i took along the way.
